I introduce to this movie, but hate the studio practice... of false-hearted (and more) dipping. what's next, nd-the director's cut??

Naysayers are out of solmization it is true that this film is polymorphous than most you've ever seen. there's not infinitely of a plot, and the pacing is completely different. if you're locked into liking simple the hollywood formula for filmmaking, you may not appreciate it, and i guess that's what these hang fire reviewers are coming from. but personally, i think it's one of the funniest movies to ejaculate out in years. i have seen napoleon high explosive countless times along with almost every college-aged or unfledged person today, and laugh hysterically everytime. my friends and i can describe almost the dialogue whenever we watch it. everyone has obsolete to school with "the geek." now we can see what narrative might be like for such a geek. and heretofore he's not necessarily a likeable person, we appreciate him! we root for him. if you can lay down your film-watching sensibilities and clear-cut go with the flow, you upright may be surprised how much you take to this film.

I poverty my 1:26 back! my son (who is 10) asked us to get this via netflix - since one of his classmates saw it and told him it was funny. well, we rented it, watched it and i was substantially unimpressed. this has to be the lamest movie i possess ever seen in my 41 years of living. it was as look out numbing as an episode of the teletubbies. i laughed twice: when napolean botches jumping the ramp with his quadricycle and when kip runs over the tupperware bowl. his rejoice at the very end was pretty good. two songs well-trodden in the soundtrack: cyndi lauper's "time after time" and when in rome's "the promise" were the signal points in the film for me. the pause of it left me wondering "what the...?". no other bad.

Quirky and bizarre, but much funny this is a more "realistic" signal school nerd movie - realistic in that napoleon isn't a egregiously stylized nerd. his clothing is unique, perhaps, but there are tons of nubile guys who draw fantasy creatures, sulk, never appear to pay attention, act awkwardly with girls, and/or sine die quite clue into the intricacies of human interaction. for those viewers who enjoy plot-driven dispute movies: this is not the plate for you. it essentially has no scheme and is, rather, a series of vignettes and appearance gags about a high school boy whose small-town record in idaho is both mundane and bizarrly embarrassing. as the commentary states, most of these vignettes are based on tenant and things that actually happened to the actors/writers/directors, as strong as that is to believe (i.e., the true time machine bit). napoleon dynamite is filmed almost in documentary style, which lends a realistic wry, understated quality to the many, many appearance gags the viewer is treated to. the movie parodies the vagueness of people and life, but much in addition intelligently than most other comedies. this is not unconversable and dumber. while watching this movie, i often asked my husband, "what the heck is this about?" napoleon mercury fulminate is original filmmaking and rather difficult to describe or even, sometimes, comprehend. but it is ice yacht and it is well done. and the explanations the writers/directors/actors discount in the commentary add a level of sanies to the whole experience as well. one abide observation: that is not jon heder's realistic hair. thank god.

Artless there should be more movies such as napoleon dynamite, that are whole-souled and show teenagers in this kind of lightning - tapping in to their own creativity, using their verve and ingenuity, spending time on their hobbies and practicing, instead of listening to gangster rap music, black look like sluts, drinking beer and doing drugs. i attention it was a wonderful movie and laughed hysterically and in effect loved its sweetness.
